Could I disable autostart of specific qubes (In particular, sys-usb) in boot menu?

While I added new disposable sys-usb, I made a big mistake.

At first, I create a disposable sys-usb, and remove the original sys-usb. Since I followup the manual in qubes-os.org, I turned on autostart option. Then, to make the disposable sys-usb default, I add every device without checking what’s what in “Settings/Device” and apply it… and you could guess the consequence of this.

I found this thread, but I’m not sure it’s helpful for my case, and I don’t know how to use Grub. (press ‘e’ in boot menu allow me to enter grub, but I don’t know the next step.)

In addition, is this still working when my disk is encrpyted?

Thanks.

This will work when your disk is encrypted.
Press ‘e’ to be able to edit the grub menu.
You can now edit the grub configuration.
Go to the kernel line and add qubes.skip_autostart to the end of the
line.
Press F10 to boot with the amended configuration.
Fix your problem

I never presume to speak for the Qubes team.
When I comment in the Forum I speak for myself.

If it is helpful, I posted some detailed instructions in another thread…

I have just improved (?) them to explain how to add to the end of the ‘vmlinuz’ line.

Thanks for both of you.
I would like to accept both of your answers as solutions, but sadly it’s impossible…

Please forgive that I use FIFO to accept.

FIFO seems very fair
