Chromium under at least Fedora 41 on some versions including a most recent one doesn't function correctly - saving anything to disk

I’ve been experiencing a problem with Chromium on Fedora 41 for a while now. Recently, it reoccurred and I decided to investigate further. The issue occurs when trying to save files - for some unspecified reason, it fails. To troubleshoot, I used an existing disposable Qube where I’d previously noticed the problem.
I attempted to save files of different types and modified the file structure to rule out read-write access or space issues. Since creating a folder worked fine, I knew the VM wasn’t having trouble with read-write access or running out of space. I then ran multiple applications, including Chromium, Firefox, a terminal window, and Nautilus, all under the same VM.
When I launched Chromium from the terminal to capture error output, I saw a GTK error about “Attempting to add to the list of recently used resources, but no name of the application that is registering it was defined.” I searched for this error online and found a potential solution on Reddit, which suggested installing xdg-desktop-portal-gtk. I temporarily installed this package on the disposable VM, and it resolved the issue, allowing me to save files without errors.
The packages involved are:

low-memory-monitor-0:2.1-11.fc41
xdg-desktop-portal-gtk-0:1.15.1-6
xdg-desktop-portal-0:1.20.0-2.fc4

Perhaps someone should report this issue upstream or on GitHub?
