Can this be used for gaming? like NeXT gen games and retro cd games such as doom, quake wolfenstein, age of empires, age of mythology, starcraft, halo, metro, war of the ring and etc?

Not officially supported, but it can be possible to play any video games.
However
It is hard to setup, and unless you are lucky you better be very skilled technically.
Also have some hardware requirement.

One of my fantasies is putting together a beefy desktop with qubes os and setting it up for gaming plus coding/development work.
You can save yourself a lot of headaches by buying a steam deck and a midrange desktop PC.
that won’t give me the 1337 hacker street cred tho
