Hi, I was having trouble booting Qubes OS after installing it on an NVMe SSD. Once the installation was finished and I clicked reboot, I couldn’t find the drive listed in the UEFI BIOS. Now I’m in the rescue shell, and I don’t know where to start. Any help would be appreciated.

Disconnect and reconnect the NVMe SSD.

I tried doing that, but I don’t think that’s the issue. When I boot up the Qubes OS rescue environment, I can see the drive, so I believe the problem is related to the EFI partition. Others have reported similar issues in this forum. I’ve attempted some of their suggested solutions, like using the efibootmgr
command, but this returns a message saying, “EFI variables are not supported.” I even tried reinstalling Qubes on a different SSD, but I’m still facing the same problem.

I believe you may be required to authorize a EFI file within the boot partition as trusted for UEFI Secure Boot. Otherwise, provide hardware information, especially the motherboard and boot firmware version.
