QubesOS is generally running well for me. Sometimes, though, I get a black screen before I can enter the hard drive decryption password, so I can’t really do anything. The only thing left to do is shut down the computer using the power button and start over. Sometimes I get a black screen again, and sometimes it works and I see the disk decryption prompt.
I’ve already searched the forum but haven’t found anything relevant yet. I also haven’t found a xen.cfg file. There’s only a xen.efi file, but it’s binary.
I’m using a Tuxedo Infinitybook Pro 14 with an Intel processor running Qubes OS 4.3.1, kernel version 7.2.5-1.qubes.fc41.x86_64.
Since I can’t see anything, I don’t know what the problem is.
If you press ESC after getting the black screen, does anything happen?
Thanks, I’ll keep an eye on it and as soon as it occurs again I’ll try to press ESC and post the result.
