You can set geometry for xtigervncviewer:

xtigervncviewer -geometry 1280x1024 127.0.0.1:5901

Hi,

i followed the solution for the autostart of the desktop and I experienced the same behavior as Ashman.

The desktop does not stay on top, i dies immediately. i start the desktop by issuing ./gnome.sh in a terminal. regards, hitam

I don’t know why you have this issue. You can try to create a new qube and test the autostart there as @Ashman tried and see if it’ll work for you as well.

i created a complete new qube, however the same behaviour (startup and desktop immediately disappears) prevails.

i tried to change the language of the desktop many time unsuccesfull…i think gnome in Qubes ist just a complete mess. I do not know how many hours i spent and how many unsucccessfull attempts i had already had.
