Audio qube

In my experience it works very well, but there’s a couple of bugs with certain bluetooth headsets.

Hi everyone,

I followed the guide and everything works just fine, except that I have a significant delay (+2s or even more) to the audio input in an app-vm. Switching to a manually attached USB microphone (e.g. a camera microphone) seems to completely get rid of the latency issue. Therefore, it looks to me like there is some issue with the underlying drivers or connection between the VMs.

Does anyone has an Idea how to solve this audio lag (or troubleshoot the root cause)?

Have you already checked to see if this is the problem you’re having: Audio stuttering with audiovm · Issue #10063 · QubesOS/qubes-issues · GitHub

Exact same problem except I used fedora43 and clients are debian based
Sys-audio works inside of itself, but doesn’t appear in others. Only dummy shows in others. I have spent 3 days troubleshooting, to no use, so I don’t know

Can you tell us what you’ve already tried?
And what hasn’t worked?

Thank you for the GitHub issue link! It seems like this comment pointed to the correct solution. I had previously set the audio-vm to “Pro Audio” which introduced such a lag, probably due to the high amount of resources required for that setting. Switching to the “Default (Line1, Line2, Mic1, Mic2)” setting seems to have solved the lag problem.
