Audio distortion after booting VMs

I have an unusual issue with audio. The audio gets distorted whenever I boot some VMs while audio / video is playing in another VM. I have to pause the application playing the audio and mute the audio for few seconds for the issue to get resolved. It happens only for few VMs not for all. I am not able to pinpoint anything distinct about the VMs that is causing the issue.

If anyone know what’s the cause that that would be great. At the very least I would like to know where to look further to pinpoint the issue.

Will the audio distortion disappear if you keep the audio mixer window open?

No it does not. It looks like same issue described in the github issue. Thanks for the response.
