Asus PN50 mini desktop PC

PN50 is a small but reasonably powerful desktop computer. I use it in a fanless case which makes my office 100% silent.

Remarks

The integrated video chipset is not supported by the kernels used in Qubes 4.0. A single monitor at 2560x1440 resolution works but the second video port is unusable. Perhaps the kernels in Qubes 4.1 work better, support should start with Linux 5.6. Wifi chipset is also not supported.

Sold Out on ebay. Do they have hardware disk encryption?

I don’t use it so I can’t tell, sorry.

Thank you @olf for your HCL report, which is online now.

Qubes 4.1 supports the APU with integrated graphics out of the box. Onboard microphone works, too. There is an issue with PCI that causes sys-net to fail starting. It can be solved according to the Qubes PCI troubleshooting guidelines, I’ll post the script shortly. Further, as all peripherals are USB one should not make sys-usb start by default. In fact sys-usb on Qubes 4.0 will crash and leave all USB devices detached from dom0, thus locking you out. Manually starting sys-usb later on is fine, though.

Here is the HCL report for Qubes 4.1.

Remove the .log extension from the last one and place in /etc/systemd/system/ to fix the sys-net startup trouble. Wireless is not working out of the box. Will keep you updated.
