Are disposable qubes shut down after an update if their template changes?
The Updates GUI can offer to restart qubes if their templates changed.
If their AppVM template changed though, there are no feature to automatically restart related disposables.

That is, unless you’re talking about preloaded disposables in r4.3, in which case yes, they’re restarted after the disposable template/templateVM get updated.

One thing about the updater: If you check the box it may restart the qube, or shut it down. You don’t get to pick which; it selects what happens. There are times I’d like it to restart the qube, but if I check the box it will shut it down, not restart it. I’m better off leaving the box unchecked and manually restarting the qube from the qui-domains list (which will even show you which ones need restarting).
This is only half relevant since I’m not necessarily talking about numbered disposables (most of my running qubes are named disposables.
