APT cacher-ng: Error: Failed to fetch https://repo.librewolf.net

Continuing the discussion from Packaged tools for 4.3:

I’ve installed the cacher tool and my Debian 13 template isn’t updating anymore.

I receive the following error:

Error: Failed to fetch https://repo.librewolf.net/dists/librewolf/InRelease Invalid response from proxy: HTTP/1.0 403 CONNECT denied (ask the admin to allow HTTPS tunnels) [IP: 127.0.0.1 8082]

I tried the below fix you suggested back in 2022 but it hasn’t resolved the issue. Any suggestions?

Trouble setting up apt-cacher-ng

In your templates you need to edit the apt source files, so the urls instead of being https:// become http://HTTPS///. You can do it quickly with these commands (run as root): sed -i 's#https://#http://HTTPS///#g' /etc/apt/sources.list sed -i 's#https://#http://HTTPS///#g' /etc/apt/sources.list.d/*.list

I’m on Qubes 4.2.4, by the way.

This shows that the repository definition has not been updated:
In what file is that definition?

You need to rewrite the definition to http://HTTPS///repo.librewolf.net .... as detailed in README

You do this with salt or oneliner:
sudo sed -i s^https://^http://HTTPS///^ PATH_TO_REPOSITORY_FILE
