If an app works in the template, but it doesn’t work in the qube, what does that suggest?
And what generally is the likely way to fix it?
This indicates that the software is storing needed information or code in /home and/or /usr/local. Those folders are persistent in your AppVM and not inherited from the template.
You can try to copy the information in those directories to your AppVM. Especially the dotfiles.
Maybe a simple reinstall in the AppVM will do.
