AMD Threadripper Install fail

So I’m trying to install on a pure AMD Threadripper 1950X + 32GB + Vega64 dual monitor 1xDP and 1xHDMI.

The USB drive I’ve DD’d the install to starts booting shows usual kernel boot stuff then the screen goes blank and nothing from then on.

I’ve done a search and nothing stands out, any notes from threadripper guys on why this happens.

Hi @xvart, welcome to the Community! According to the Hardware compatibility list (HCL), a device with a similar CPU is working fine, but VEGA 64 GPU causes problems with installations. You could try the workarounds suggested there.

Ok thanks, sadly with the price of GPU’s Vega64 is all I have… :sob:
