3isec-qubes-cacher breaks fedora-42-xfce update

I cannot update fedora-42-xfce after installing 3isec-qubes-cacher (4.3).
I tried to disable the cacher for fedora-42-xfce with qubesctl as documented, it seemes to work, but then still updating the template fails.
Did anyone get 3isec-qubes-cacher to work with fedora on Qubes 4.3?

I use it all the time, and I have no reports specific to fedora-42-xfce.

I assume that other templates updated correctly, and you havent reported
any error message, so it’s difficult to help.
You say you have reverted the changes for that template, but you have
not said in what way the update is failing.

First check in dom0 in /etc/qubes/policy.d/50-config-updates.policyB
that you have an entry:
qubes.UpdatesProxy * fedora-42-xfce @default allow target=sys-net
before any general line referencing @type:TemplateVM.

Then manually run an update in fedora-42-xfce template using sudo dnf update
and report any errors.

OK so I can confirm the issue. No usable URL from the metadata. My last
working update was 02/16, and the metadata file is dated 02/18.
I’ve tested reverting the repository changes, changing the policy file,
and updates work as expected.

I’ll need to take a look. Strange that fedora-43 works as expected.

Rewriting the metalink lines works fine outwith the cacher, so it is
definitely an issues with apt-cacher-ng, but one that does not affect
fedora-43.

Thank you for checking. This is exactly what I get.

It is working today. I removed the exception fir the fedora template and now it seems to be working through the cacher too. Upstream problem? I have some logs, but no time.

It must have been - the message that was blocked said that the update
continued to work for other fedora-42 templates. Just another fedora
mirror issue.
