Hello everyone, in advance, thank you for your contribution. I am a new user and I have 2 questions.

  1. Despite the settings, when I turn on my pc my external screen does not appear first. I have to redo the settings on display every time. I plug in an external hard drive but I don’t know where and how to open it to access my data.

Sorry for these questions certainly basic to you. We all started one day.

Display issue:

If you navigate to the Q menu > System Tools > Display, then move to the “Advanced” tab you’ll find “Profiles”.

Configure your display configuration as you want it, then click the “Create new display profile” icon and right below enable “Configure new displays when connected”.

External hard drive issue:

In the top right corner of the screen, you’ll find a usb icon “Qubes Devices”. Click on it, then assign your hard drive to a VM and access your harddrive from that VM.
