Will updating xscreensaver break anything?

For a few days now I have been prompted to update my xscreensaver program each time the computer boots up. The prompt states, that my installed version is so seriously outdated, that basically it should have been updated long ago. My concern is that since the dom0 version of fedora is so old, that upgrading through the prompt’s suggested link with the new version might be incompatible and might break something. Should I do a Terminal update with the suggested link or would uninstalling and reinstalling xscreensaver give me a new enough version, that I don’t get the prompts again? They fixed it, and it is currently in qubes-dom0-current-testing repo

If you want to try it, run the following command in dom0:

sudo qubes-dom0-update --enablerepo=qubes-dom0-current-testing xscreensaver
