Will the new Mullvad privacy browser be made available in Qubes?

There is a new privacy directed browser by Mullvad (in conjunction with the Tor project), which might be of interest, for inclusion in Qubes as an alternative to Firefox. Has there been, or is there any intention of possibly including the Mullvad Browser for inclusion in Available Applications?

It’s certainly possible to install Mullvad Browser and have it in Available Applications. Just install in the template VM, then use it from a App VM. And there are various ways of installing such a browser in the template VM. Basically, if you are able to install it in debian or fedora on baremetal ( like the case for most linux users ), you can have it available in Qubes.

However, if you are asking whether the official template RPM or installation ISO image will ship this browser, I think that’s probably up to the upstream distribution’s choice.

The main distributions are not vert likely to accept forks of an existing project, they don’t want to maintain X number of Firefox forks.
