Does the future version of QubesOS will need NPU? for any uses?
Highly unlikely, I’d struggle to see Qubes adding AI or any such like to the system. But that’s my opinion, and I’m not speaking for the Qubes Team.
I thought that if QubesOS uses NPU can increasing its performances.
NPU support in Linux is still pretty hit or miss and there’s not a lot of apps that can use it. I’m not sure I’ve seen anything I’d consider more than science projects around testing it. The only thing NPUs have done on my laptops is throw firmware errors
