so what was the fix i’m getting the same issue right now

Here’s the errors I’m getting

This is to install flatpak and flathub apps on whonix not fedora or inside the main dom0 terminal it won’t install and keep saying E: The cache is empty.You may need to run “apt-file update “ first which i tried on these pictures several times.

No error is shown.

If - and only if - you want to use apt-file, it can be done as per documentation:

If you don’t need apt-file, then there is really no error here and no problem that needs solving.

Note: Whonix is based on Kicksecure

this is the error everytime i use terminal in whonix workstation , it says E: system cache is empty

sudo apt install apt-file

im doing this in my work app vm and im going to do this in dom0 main terminal i’ve been stuck for hours now trying to add flatpak repository first and flatpak apps i keep getting the security permission-hardener: [notice] also says /var/lib/dpkg/info/security-misc.postinst: INFO Permission Hardening Success but no successful message of installing no apps or updates.
