Which command should I use to install new templates?

I see two options in the documentation, depending on what page I’m on.
“qvm-template install <template_name>” and “sudo qubes-dom0-update qubes-template-fedora-XX”

Does it matter which one I use?

I know that it’s not recommended to use qubes-dom0-update to update templates once they’re installed.

You should use qvm-template:

Not at all.
If you use qubes-dom0-update for a template package, then it will
actually redirect to qvm-template to install the template.
