Hello guys,
i’m setting up a VPN VM as a gateway using iptables and cli scripts. I followed this step-by-step guide.
I checked the VPN connection after step 5 (Set up iptables anti-leak rules. Edit the firewall script).
It was working 100%.
After that step I edited the rc.local as written and made it executable.
Then I restart the VPN VM and the connection fails:
Tue Jan 19 19:53:16 2021 RESOLVE: Cannot resolve host address: at.protonvpn.com:1194 (Name or service not known)
I tried to find the logfile - but it is not in the /var/logs/syslog. folder as written in the documentation. Do you know where I can find it?
Im using Qubes 4.0 and the VPN VM is based on Fedora30 - all TemplateVM’s and dom0 are up2date.
I think there is a mistake in the code in rc.local…
Maybe someone has the same mistake?
