trying to route my NetVM to the FirewallVM. From there, route the traffic to the VPN VM then setup my VPN VM to route all traffic to the VPN tunnel and restrict all non-VPN connections with iptables rules

Do you get any errors? Do you have no connection, or leaks? I’m no expert here, but maybe one of these posts could be relevant:

Im trying to setup a sys-vpn qube using a fedora-34-minimal template. I created a proxyVM and named it sys-vpn Then i tried to follow this guide by NordVPN. I opened a terminal for the template using qvm-run -u root fedora-34-minimal xterm dnf install openvpn worked fine. But, sh <(curl -sSf https://downloads.nordcdn.com/apps/linux/install.sh) wont run in template VM because no internet access? Yet can install packages?? Set up a ProxyVM as a VPN gateway using iptables and CLI scripts with ProtonVPN

Is it possible to set up protonvpn with this guide? Their core-servers .ovpn files use another dns right so there are issues with that guide am i right? Has anyone tried and got it to work? I tried once and while some other VPN’s ovpn files did work, protonvpn’s ovpn files did not work. How do you fix the issue? How do i set up Qubes so a VPN connects first always?

How would i set up Qubes so that a VPN is always on, with a killswitch in the whole of Qubes 4.1? Right now i have created a standalone VPN appVM as the qubes documentation says, with iptables. " Set up a ProxyVM as a VPN gateway using iptables and CLI scripts" Then i switched the personal or untrusted to use a VPN in Qubes settings net cube.
