Well, I’m preparing myself for a new laptop, and those don’t have PS/2, not even in docking stations.
So, I thought I could avoid to use USB keyboard and mouse by using RJ45 port and share it for ethernet and PS/2 keyboard and mouse

Does this makes sense?
Judging from the picture, It only works if your device has an PS/2 port.
The extender needs to be plugged into a PS/2 port of the device, the CAT5 is just an extension cord. You can’t just plug it into the RJ45 ethernet port.
