Unable to remove fedora-34 template

Hi
I’m a learning qubes student and have a problem that for the life of me I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. I have just installed fedora-36 having just got a new laptop with qubes that had fedora-34 on it. No problem with the new installation, changing everything to new template etc. So now I still have fedora-34 sitting there and I want to remove it. I followed the guide here:

and if I type

      **sudo dnf remove qubes-template-fedora-34**

in dom0 I get this error:

No match for argument: qubes-template-fedora-34
No packages marked for removal
Dependencies resolved
Nothing to do
Complete!

I have looked at this for a few days now and searched, but can’t work out how to delete the now redundant template.

Can anybody offer a suggestion or point me to some further documentation? Thank you if you can.

Please try:
sudo qvm-template remove fedora-34

Should do the trick!

Thank you very much for posting that. Yes, it did the trick. But before I deleted it an error message (using your code) alerted me to what I thought may have been the issue in the first instance in that fedora-34 was still selected in global settings. I changed that and tried the original code but it still wouldn’t do it. But using your code did the trick. Thanks for that. Something to remember!

shouldn’t this,
sudo qvm-template remove fedora-XX
be part of Templates | Qubes OS
