Hi Anon4 - and welcome to the forum!

It’s not clear to me, if this is the initial boot from the install medium - or if it’s a boot from the drives on the machine :-/

I also can’t tell if you have started/installed the default kernel or the kernel-latest … are you willing to share information like that?

It looks like you tried

sudo yum update --enablerepo=qubes-vm-r3.2-current-testing

– any reason it’s r3.2 and not something like r4.2?

Thanks for replying
This is the initial boot from the installation medium
I’m installing qubes R4.2.4 which I believe is the default kernel

Hi Anon4

Have you tried the last entry:

Install Qubes OS R4.2.4 using kernel-latest (6.12.11.1.qubes.fc37)

?

Can you share some info about the machine you are trying to install Qubes OS to? – eg. CPU/GPU vendor?

Hi Anon4

“i5 7400T” … that’s an Intel CPU … right?

How did you write the install medium? Using dd?

Btw: 8G memory is possible … but less than recommended. :-/

Did you verify the .iso?

Did you verify installation media after writing?
