Does anyone know how to get past a UEFI password lock to BIOS? Asus zenbook UX3405MA? Is there a hack? It was locked when I bought it new from Amazon

that is odd as someone seems to have set one password. clear cmos, you would usually need to disassemble find the pins/switch to reset the bios. On Asus website is a guide, i not want to post links. Else you may want to ask the one who sold it you, if someone opens without proper technical skills you might loose the warranty

yeah never had a laptop like this before I’m not worried about warranty and I’ve looked at motherboard and even disconected battery and it didnt reset CMOS. Info i could find say that the EEPROM chip on the board needs to be reflashed by some kind of direct chip connection with Hardware CH341A Programmer

when disconnect the laptop battery did you also disconnect the bios battery?

Addition: ok this does not have a cmos reset or crtc pin neither a bios battery. So try this, disconnect the main laptop battery, Hold the power button for about 60 seconds. Leave it for about 5 minutes without adding the battery connector. Then connect and try
