Hey everybody! Yes I searched and I tried everything I can find. I have two brother laser printers One is HL-5370DW (Black only) and the other one is HL-L3270CDW color…
So I set up as instructed a qube using debian called “default-dvm-PRINTER” because after setting up a functioning audio qube I think i’m a hotshot.
So I cant seem to figure this out. I am on 4.2.4 … I did get the black printer to work a while back when I was first setting this all up, but now I cant get anything to print. I cant get the color one to work at all but it shows up in the printer screen for available printers…
I have enabled the “cups” service in the settings for “default-dvm-PRINTER”.
As of now, anytime I want to print anything, I have to print it to a file, and then send it to said default qube which creates and opens another disposable qube LoL and I am swimming in qube mania! LoL So I have some deadlines, and I cant get either printer to work. I must be doing something wrong
For the black printer I was able to download a PPD file which seemed to work when I first attempted to set up these printers.
I also entered in DOM0 “qvm-service – enable default-dvm-PRINTER cups” But that doesn’t seem to do anything…
Is this the way to print? By printing to a file first and then sending said file to the “default-dvm-PRINTER” qube and then printing from there? Forgive me, it seems I am the only one with this problem I cant believe it… LoL

Well skip the deadline. I will save files to usb and reboot into qubes 4.1 and then use an old fedora 32 template and connected qube to print for now… LoL I think it would be great if we could set up a printer qube just like the audio qube as I can hear audio from any qube through the connected heaphones to the audio qube, works great!
Now if I can just figure out a way to make the same thing work with printers, then I will have to have a celebration…
Of course thats not going to happen by my own means, that’s way out of my league
