Template change after creation? Or how is a .deb installed in Fedora?

I installed a .deb and ran an update in a qube I thought I created as standalone Debian. But now the qube says its Fedora and wont update.

If I mistakenly thought I selected Fedora instead of Debian, then the package shouldn’t have installed. The program works and is installed. Therefore, something must have changed template after creation. How is that possible?

That’s not possible out of nowhere, it’s something that can be done manually. Maybe you’re using the wrong VM.
