Hi, running 4.0.3 on a 3 Monitor Setup 2 x (1920x1080) and a 4k.
Could use some pointers how to split the 4k display into four virtual 1920x1080 Monitors since i do have a few apps i like to watch while they are running.
If i understand correctly i3 might be able to do this, including in reopening appVMs in their previous tile?

i3 sounds like exactly what you are looking for, but it will do a lot
more than just this. It replaces the entire window manager. I’d
recommend trying it out to see whether you like the change. Give it a
day or two, it’s not something you will just be able to use.
I downloaded version 4.1 yesterday and was wondering if there are any changes in there that might make this easier on my rx480 8GB?
The main change on 4.1 for this is newer software. XFCE tends to be
quite conservative though, so I wouldn’t expect a tiling feature to be
hiding in that update.
Any tiling window manager will do exactly that. You configure the splits
on the main window and have a single window in each of the 1080p
displays. Unless you resize things, the main display will have 4x1080
windows and those on the 1080p displays will be fullscreen.
