Snap Menu entry in AppVM

Hello,

how can i create a Menu entry for an Snap application in AppVM?

i read this: Managing AppVm Shortcuts | Qubes OS
but i do not understand it completely.

Can someone help me through this, i want to create a menu entry for whatsapp application in my AppVM that is installed with snap.

Did you install the snap following these documentation instructions?

Yes, but it seems that there are applications that doesn’t come with menu entries for qubes by default… like authy and whatsapp. Discord, Wickr and Zoom work out of the box.

Also the authy application does not run in sandbox, is it possible to enable sandboxing for authy? Because it might be an security issue.

DId you try this method?

However, it stopped working suddenly:

[user@discord ~]$ whatsapp-for-linux
update.go:85: cannot change mount namespace according to change mount (/var/lib/snapd/hostfs/var/cache/fontconfig /var/cache/fontconfig none bind,ro 0 0): cannot write to "/var/lib/snapd/hostfs/var/cache/fontconfig" because it would affect the host in "/var/lib/snapd"
error: cannot communicate with server: timeout exceeded while waiting for response
ERROR: not connected to the gnome-3-28-1804 content interface.

Sounds like an issue outside of the scope of Qubes. My advice would be for you search on linux forums.
