Exact same problem here. FWIW I do have a High Resolution (5120x1440) screen.
I’ve turned on “Presentation mode” by clicking on the battery icon in the task bar. So far this seems to successfully prevent screen blanking and thus works around the issue.
Of course the downside is that now I’ll have to shut everything down when leaving for an hour or two.
