Rc.local?

I’m trying to find where rc.local gets created in the guests?
Need to be able to get things sorted with it.

Trying to get the script to be a default for what I want.

Where can I find this for what creates it please?

It’s up to you to create it:

It’s up to you to create content, but the file is automatically
generated on qube creation.

As always, it would be extremely helpful if you provide more
information @Vael_S - what are you trying to “sort” and what do you mean
by default for what I want?

I never presume to speak for the Qubes team.
When I comment in the Forum I speak for myself.

I’m trying to find out what creates the rc.local file initially.
I have used the search functionality to find out but I can’t find anything on it.

I can’t even find the rc.local file in anything other than /rw/config when looking at the guests.

I’m at a complete loss with it. It gets created by something, somewhere…

I know you know a lot, maybe you know where what I’m looking for is please?

When a qube is started, the qubes-mount-dirs systemd service is run.
It runs the script /usr/lib/qubes/init/mount-dirs.sh, which also runs /usr/lib/qubes/init/setup-rw.sh, which contains your answer.
