[qubes-users] Current state of Wireguard and Qubes

New 5.4 kernel announced support Wireguard? Can I install it and them create fedora AppVM with wireguard?

Or what is the better way now to install wireguard appvm? Only the way to go with Debian 10?

Thanks

I use wireguard on Debian minimal and it works fine. You have to enable Debian’s testing repo to install it. Kernel 5.4 supports WG natively, but the default 4.x kernels for R4.0 do not, so you should install kernel-latest-qubes-vm via qubes-dom0-update and be sure to select it as your WG VM’s kernel.

The following guide is helpful even if you’re not using Mullvad VPN: https://mullvad.net/en/help/wireguard-and-mullvad-vpn/

looks like not it’s at buster-backports…

Enable the testing repo by modifyting /etc/apt/sources.list in the TemplateVM and adding deb https://deb.debian.org/debian testing main.

Don’t forget to set your default repo to buster so you don’t pull everything from testing (I’ll leave it to you to find out how).
