Qubes update pci device dom0:01_00.0 does not exist

after installing qubes successfully, I ran the updater. most qubes updates, but the whonix gateway doesnt. also I cannot start any qube any more it seems. tons of warning notification appear and will clutter the entire screen. qubes try to start and show errors:

sys-net has failed / sys firewall has failed, sys-whonix has failed: qubes update pci device dom0:01_00.0 does not exist

I only installed it and ran the qubes updater. what am I doing wrong? how can I fix it?

Looks like sys-net can’t boot because it’s missing one of the configured devices which prevents sys-firewall and sys-whonix from starting as well.

Remove device 01_00.0 from sys-net devices in settings, or troubleshoot why your system cannot find it. Does it even shot up in dom0’s lspci?

Make sure your BIOS settings didn’t get reset and that you still have VT-d and iommu enabled.
