Qubes starts on its own and the time sync is off

Hi all,

I have two problems: 1)when I switch my NUC mini PC’s power supply (plug it into the wall power socket), my PC starts on its own. After that 2) the system sync is off - goes to 00:00 - 27 Nov 2023. I need to run the system sync command in the Dom0 terminal. Is this data a major release date?

I’m on 4.2.3 (R4.2). Any ideas what is going on?

It seems to be a hardware issue with your power supply or NUC mini power circuit.
The system sync being off is most probably because the NUC mini RTC resets when you plug in your power supply. The 00:00 - 27 Nov 2023 is probably the default time set in NUC mini BIOS if RTC resets.

I think you are right @apparatus … I did some digging and looked into NUC’s BIOS, and it looks the CMOS battery needs replacing. The reset date actually goes further back now - to the “manufactured date”! Thank you for your suggestion.
