Shouldn’t the contents be exactly the same? The onion repo is missing a few builds of the Whonix templates including the most recent, and missing the new Kicksecure template entirely, placing it at least two weeks out of date.
I think this means that users can’t install new community templates over Tor if they’re using the more privacy-hygenic onion address. [*]
Note: https://yum.qubes-os.org/r4.2/templates-itl/rpm/ and http://yum.qubesosfasa4zl44o4tws22di6kepyzfeqv3tg4e3ztknltfxqrymdad.onion/r4.2/templates-itl/rpm/ are proper mirrors, it’s only the community repo that is out of date.
I can open an issue for this- just wanting to verify my understanding is right first.
