Qubes OS Installation Troubleshooting Tips

“Days of installation troubleshooting”

  1. Check to make sure your USB drive/partitions are formatted correctly.
  2. If you are going to load up the Qube OS ISO from Linux and are all stressed out about Ventoy or trying to run Wine with something like Yumi… forget that. Just right click the ISO and select “Make bootable USB”. I could only add one ISO for some reason so make sure it’s Qubes OS.
  3. To add multi monitors just download the latest kernel through the Dom0 terminal, you can find it easily from the top left “Q” and search terminal, select dom0. When you execute the command it does a sneaky connection to quickly download it. Restart system, go to display settings and select auto-detect/connect. Should pop right up. Always double check your DNF repositories and websites you visit for software.
  4. Do this before stressing about your hardware and save a week of pain and suffering, crack a beer, spark a j… enjoy.
