Qubes OS A reasonably secure operating system?

Me neither

But It is hard to ignore things like:

The irony is that @Insurgo Sep 11, 2019 Research support for libreboot/coreboot-based systems · Issue #1594 · QubesOS/qubes-issues · GitHub

“We should, as open source researchers, even more in the open firmware world, stop supporting newer Intel and AMD platforms until their blobs sources are publicly available without NDA. We should boycott them until they really open their things up. Decide to stop believing in them and their never respected promises.”

“Else we are complicit in accepting things will just get more closed source. The Open Source firmware community is silently accepting this fact. There is something really wrong happening. There is an elephant in the room!
The emperor is naked!”

That post was why I invested time and money into this museum piece?

Very glad for @arha post and info! Will try to investigate further.

@mike_banon if you made progress with your KGPE-D16 s please update. My apathy with this whole thing probably exceeds tlaurion’s, and yeah that is saying something.

That facts known 5+ years ago that “we are complicit” should be put in a museum now - seems outrageous.

The absurdity of all this is just infuriating. Hope I’m just confused and ill informed. Please post if you haven’t stuck your “last candidates without binary blobs” in a museum or trash heap.

Sorry for the tone of this post, sincerely.

Actually seeking information, believe it or not.
