QUBES damaged my RAID array

In my computer there is one NVMe SSD with partitions for Win 10 and Ubuntu 25.04. For storage there are also 2 SATA disks in RAID 1 through a Marvell hardware controller with the 9230 chip.
Unfortunately, the Marvell RAID array only work on Windows; Ubuntu from 24.10 on doesn’t read it anymore (nor a Broadcom LSI 9440 I tried).
On another SSD on the SATA motherboard controller I have just installed Qubes.
When I started Qubes something surprising happened: Qubes acted on the Marvell controller by erasing the RAID 1 and creating instead two RAID each of a single disk in its place. In short: 1 RAID of 2 disks became 2 RAID of 1 disk each! I never heard of such a thing. Has something similar happened to anyone?
Do you have any suggestion for restarting Qubes without such an annoyance?
Thanks in advance!

You should either disconnect every other disks or make manual/advanced partitioning during installation.

Thanks, I’ll try it.
For upgrading should I do the same thing?

If you upgrade by booting up usb and doing install from usb then yes
