One more dom0 update question

I initiated a dom0 update over sys-whonix after running for around 10 mins and downloading around 160MB of data, the qubes update process returned that there are no updates. See attached image. There were no other process downloading anything using sys-whonix during this time.

The download process is like a blackbox and could be more verbose. Any idea what was downloaded for around 160MB during this time?

I don’t have the exact process in mind but when doing an update, first you fetch the repositories and then you upgrade the packages (if there are any to upgrade).

On my Qubes 4.2, on clearnet, the first step seems to take around 130M of data, even with 0 packages to upgrade (I have not checked the time but it was less than 10 minutes).

It seems way too much data. Updates to debian templates takes lot less data downloads.

I wonder if it takes similar amount of data to update fedora templates.
