I recently installed Qubes OS on a Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Carbon (i7 7th generation, 1 TB NVMe drive, 16 GB of memory - going cheap because it had a Russian keyboard, but actually it is a Qwerty keyboard with Cyrillic characters as well).
In the first session, Whonix Gateway did a check and announced that updates were turned off. Does anyone know why it did that?
I get the same notice. It does seem different to in the past. However whonix ws and gw still seem to update correctly thru Qubes Update. I do have to run Tor browser updater thru whonix ws template occasionally
It seems this question is more about Whonix than Qubes, so you should probably ask it on Whonix forums.
Instead of rephrasing into your own words, I recommend to copy output as text verbatim. (Or posting screenshots, but that’s really optional.)
Because then as a developer I can look up the source code, find the textual string and have a chance to know that this is about.
