I used to use night shift modes (makes the screen orange) and grayscale (less distracting) on previous computers. Does XFCE or Qubes have similar settings, ideally in dom0? If not dom0, then perhaps on a qube-by-qube basis?

using redshift here. comes from fedora repo, works in dom0

Concerning the blue light filter you may want to read this guide.
Be aware that installing anything else in Dom0 may introduce security risks.
