running vgdisplay or vgscan shows nothing. Command runs. Then blank. Tried sudo. So I can’t mount anything. Any ideas? Thank you.
If you encrypted your drive, you have to unlock first.
Hi Solene, tomso here, backup account, thank you for taking the time. I did decrypt the drive beforehand. I followed the instructions, but not doing this in dom 0, does that matter? I tried in both deb and fedora templates. I also did some searching which suggests some packages were missing, but that didn’t help either. I simply get no response after the command. Maybe some packages are missing in templates that dom 0 has?
Can you describe exactly what you are doing? I thought you wanted to access the LVM volume of qubes os from a live cd, but it seems you are trying to do something in a qube ?
I connected the qubes disk to another qubes sys thru usb. Mounted to a debian appvm. decrypt in the debian terminal. then vgdisplay then nothing appears. Is the the trouble the block manager? If so which live os do you recommend? Thanks again.
Try vgscan
before or maybe pvscan
.
You may also need vgimport
. I don’t remember exactly
