I use this one-liner almost every day for sys-usb and sys-net:
qube=sys-usb ; qvm-run --no-autostart "$qube" 'sudo poweroff' ; while qvm-check --running "$qube" ; do sleep 1 ; done ; qvm-start "$qube"
I was trying to create a visualization for what dom0 represents and this is what I (and an AI image generator) came up with:
Dom0 is just another box telling the octopus how to handle the other boxes
The octopus with fingers is definitely creepy
It has suction cups on its tentacles, no need for fingers… bloody A.I.!
The the number of tentacles is 9, which makes no sense.
It’s a nonopus, not an octopus, which is why it has fingers.
This would make a pretty awesome plymouth
animated boot splash, if it was juggling the qubes. If you can get the AI to make an animated version, and upload it, we can make it into an RPM for the contrib repo.
If you are into packaging and making packages available for cobtrib repo, it might be good also to take a look at @renehoj 's collection of Plymouth themes and make them available as well:
It’s on my list of things to do, plus trying to do some animations of existing splash screens.
