Login after screen went black doesn't work

Hello,
I’m testing and using the new Qubes 4.3rc1.
I have a strange issue.
After the screen turns black I try to login to Qubes and type in my password.
I can press on Unlock or the enter key but nothing happens.
It doesn’t log me in.
After some time waiting, maybe 5minutes I can log in to Qubes.

Can someone help me to solve the issue?
Thanks

Do you have the same issue with logging in if you manually lock the screen and try to login right away instead of waiting for it to be locked automatically after inactivity timeout?

I had to restart Qubes.
If I lock manually I can login without problems

It looks like something crashed.
I couldn’t turn off the machine not even via shutdown in terminal

Maybe it’s a problem with faulty suspend/resume from suspend.
Try to disable the suspend in dom0 and see if the issue will persist or not.

My machine suspended and turned back on normally.
I don’t think it’s the suspend issue which causes the problem on my side.

Later I had the issue again.
In the jornal I see that systemd crashed with a seg fault error.
Might it be connected that qubesd service got restarted shortly before the crash?
I see many lines of systemd saying: Found leftover process qrexec-daemon and same line with qubes-Notificat
I will try to find out why qubesd got restarted

Anyone knows how to login after systemd crashed?

You can try to switch to another TTY using e.g. Ctrl+Alt+F2. You can switch back to the main TTY using Ctrl+Alt+F1.
