Ok so i shut everything down then re-started up, then opened up a 500MiB .odt all ok, then edited it a little then clicked SAVE AS it all looked good but when i checked the folder it had created another file called; lu57362bcmw.tmp which usually means it went wrong at its o in size so then i tried to open the .odt document yet it wouldnt recover, anyways, when the .odt was open fully and looking good i did the df -h command and got the below if that helps any…

I tried the install commands earlier on today in the Template before updating everything yet to no avail

“libreoffice-1:25.8.7.3-3.fc43.x86_64” is already installed”

Nothing to do.

Please try to disable all ‘auto save’ fancy pants settings. Work with a copy of that file, please.

LibreOffice → Menu “Tools” → “Options” → “Load/Save” → “General” → Disable: “Save AutoRecovery (etc.)” and “Always create backup copy”

Please try again after that. Maybe you need to restart LibreOffice after changing the settings.

Ok i did just that yet still same issue :pleading_face:

However a 11.1KiB .odg opens up and let me edit it just fine & i just added rubbish now its 160KiB

I also opened up a .odt file just fine at 10KiB and edited it to now 169KiB

Last try. Because I’m running out of ideas …

You could try to wipe the user profile. Do the following:

  1. Open a terminal.

  2. Backup your old settings/user profile with tar cvfPz oobackup.tgz .config/libreoffice.

  3. Delete the old settings/user profile with cd .config ; rm -fr ./libreoffice

  4. Try again, please. You will need to set up some things again. It’s just some clicks.
