LenovoT14gen3 Wifi connecting issues

Hey everyone, im new to this community. I am having trouble connecting my wifi to my T14 gen3 . I just installed the latest 4.2.0 qubes . the wifi tray just won’t shows up . Already try adding the network manager in the sys - net settings, still nothing shows up , any idea how to make this works ? Thank you

It’s probably a problem with driver or firmware of your WiFi adapter.
Try to reinstall the Qubes OS using kernel-latest.
Or you can install the kernel-latest-qubes-vm package in dom0 if you have an Ethernet connection or a USB WiFi adapter that works.

Hi zxther – and welcome to the forum!

As I recall, the “Lenovo T14 Gen 3” comes in different versions (eg both Intel and AMD CPUs) … are you willing to share more details about your machine?

Sorry, just finished my 2 shifts and hitting back home….heres my configuration on the laptop:
ThinkPad T14 Gen 3 ,12th Gen i71255U(iris integrated
) No extra display card unit ,32GB RAM,Compliance ID: TP00135A. This is a second handed pc , I have done my research in terms of the most ideal machine to run qubes and the thinkpad T14 &T470 series shows up …
Therefore i bought the T14 and upgraded the ram on the laptop (from 16 to 32), more spaces to run vm ….

Please let me know if there is a solution mega thread or something like that … I don’t mean to bother anybody.
But the most related videos i could find on youtube is like 3 years ago … a lot has changed ( such as the interface ) the remaining options left for me is to ask ai though texts…. And its not being very helpful…

My apologies for being an tech idiot …. But since you mentioned, i did not succeed the during the first time install , it failed and shows something like “cancel waiting for multipath siblings…” if i recalled that right.
So i went to youtube and follow this guys video to do the it all over again * https://youtu.be/G0lr7QErF5k?si=KS7QuhL39xMLCQt5*( forgive me if there are rules against sharing links in this forum, the channel name is knowledge sharing tech )literally step by step . And then I succeeded the second time .( after a tons of try and error in the lenovo bios )

one more thing … after the first attempt , my usb stick (sandisk ultra 32 gb 130 mbs) started to act weird and shows a *few partitions * and just won’t let me do the formatting, no matter using the normal way or using cmd, it just appears 30kbs something…. So i open up rufus and did the same step like the guy on the video mentioned anyway…and it actually installed properly this time … Don’t know if there will be a issue….pls do enlighten me if theres one …. Thank you all for your precious time ….
