Remarks

Have had both 4.2.4 and 4.3RC3 installed and has been nearly flawless. Touch screen, full 4k resolution, all work with minimal BIOS changes, only standard disable secure boot, confirmed virtualizations on.

Only issue is the USB3/Thunderbolt ports cause what seems to be a panic on disconnect of Yubikey and HD/Sticks.

does external display work?

External does not work, and I can’t replicate the USB3/Thunderbolt USB/Thunderbolt issue again. Not sure why. I am fairly sure that the external issue is a simple driver issue since Fedora 42 and 43 seem to work fine on bare metal.

Update on functionality:
Only verified issue has been the nouveau will not load driver for NVIDIA 5000ADA. Installed NVIDIA propriety driver and other than workspace config oddities fixed with spanning works great. HDMI works, doing some troubleshooting on thunderbolt ports to use for external dispays. Maybe related to fresco logic USB controller is missing driver.
USB devices all work other than aforementioned Thunderbolt display out.
These are:
fingerprint reader
touchscreen

Other than no Coreboot available seems to be nearly perfect so far. Benefits:
Huge RAM capacity (running 128GB out of 192GB supported)
Many CPU cores 8 performance 16 economy
(Performance are Hyper-threaded although my understanding is Xen/Cubes doesn’t use)
Multiple external monitors
4k screen
