Keyboard backlight does not work on Asus rog laptop

Maybe someone knows the solution. I’ve already tried all the ways. The keyboard backlighting in Qubes just doesn’t work

Am I right in assuming that this is the Strix G with RGB backlighting?

I’m actually surprised that the keyboard backlight doesn’t have mainline kernel support. Very odd…
