KDE installed in XFCE template?

My fedora-41-xfce template was updated and about 30 new KDE-related packages were installed. Does anyone know why this was done?

Have you installed anything in your template? Some programs could have KDE dependencies.

Nothing at all. And this happened across two different Qubes installs, both with nothing added to the template.

Does dnf allow you to look up which installed packages depend on a particular installed package? I tried dnf repoquery --whatrequires but it lists all packages instead of installed packages.

I don’t know but you can still try to remove one of those KDE package and see if dnf ask you to remove packages depending on the first one?

That seems to work and this appears to be the culprit:

qt5ct 1.1-31.fc41 → 1.9-6.fc41

Apparently qt5ct is part of the Fedora 41 template and this update pulls in about 30 new KDE/Qt dependencies. I could just remove qt5ct but I’d rather follow the default template…
